Why do volunteering?
As a social action entity, we strongly believe in the benefits of volunteering and the crucial help that they bring in order to carry out the programmes and to be able to benefit an increasing number of people.
Volunteers are an integral part of our mission and are considered a crucial part of our resources.

How can you help us?
Volunteers are an essential part of our mission and we consider them a fundamental part of our resources. That’s why we have developed several volunteer programmes so that interested individuals can choose the option that suits them best.
VOLUNTEERING IN THE MORAL SUPPORT PROGRAMME
The Support Programme aims to assist the families we have taken in, as all of them are going through a major emotional upheaval caused not only by the serious illness, but also by the recolation from their usual home.
The team of volunteers is made up of a group of people who are aware of the suffering of the displaced families. The volunteers give them emotional support, company, listen to them… In short, they accompany them during their stay in Barcelona.
FRIENDLY FAMILY PROGRAMME
People who participate in the ‘Friendly Family Programme: We open our doors ‘ are also volunteers. They offer a space in their home to the sick person and their carer when they come for a check-up. But it’s not only about giving them shelter and food, but also about making them feel at home.
EXTRA SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS
It’s highly important for us the role of the other volunteers:
> Administrative volunteers are indispensable, as they are the people in charge of office tasks such as accounting and more practical management.
> Occasional volunteers support us in the different events we carry out or, if necessary, also in the maintenance of the flats. Without them it wouldn’t be possible to carry out all the activities related to the good functioning of the organisation.
