We are collaborating again in two educational projects (Year 2021-2022)

The Fundació will collaborate in two educational projects in the city of Barcelona during the year 2021-2022.

This time we got involved with a secondary school group and a MA group. We like to contribute in educational projects, since in this way we help to raise awareness among future generations about the positive impact that small collective actions can have on our society.

The Jaume Balmes Secondary School, with whom we have worked for the last five years, has once again entrusted us as a reference entity for its Community Learning and Service Project (APSC) to help 4th year ESO students to gain awareness of the different social realities that we find in the city.

Last Friday 22nd October, our social worker Marta Soler and the trainee student Júlia Cánovas attended the presentation of the subject. They also had the first contact with the students who will carry out the project we have set for them: to update the situation maps of the 11 flats of our entity, so that the families that we foster can quickly find out which are the essential services near the lodgings.

Master’s Degree in Social and Educational Interventions Students at Fundació head office to talk about the project they’ll carry out.

On the other hand, University of Barcelona’s Faculty of Education has also contacted us to collaborate with their Master’s Degree in Social and Educational Interventions‘ students.

The students from the Master visited us on October 27th at our head office, where we held a nice talk about the ambitious project that they’ll carry out: writing a children’s tale about temporary migratory grief. The aim of the short story will be to explain to the children of caregivers why the latter have to go away from home to care for a sick relative or loved one.

During the course of the school year, the representatives of the Fundació will be meeting with the students of both educational projects to follow-up on the proposed tasks.
